Introduction to GL Education Data – 3 week online workshop

Introduction to GL Education Data – 3 week online workshop

Sunday 12 July, 09:00 - Saturday 01 August, 17:00

This online workshop is facilitated by Matthew Savage, Principal at The International Community School, Amman. Matthew has developed a worldwide expertise in the use and application of student-level data, and the GL assessment suite in particular, at schools and conferences across the globe. Either online or in person, hundreds of school leaders worldwide have worked with Matthew to ensure their school’s data has a palpable and positive impact on the learning and wellbeing of their students.

What will the course cover?

The function and format of GL’s three main assessment tools - CAT4, the Progress Tests and PASS:

  • What each tool assesses and how it does so;
  • The student-level data provided and how this can inform learning and teaching;
  • How the data can be triangulated better to understand and meet student needs.

The course is designed to meet the needs of teachers either new to the international school sector, or new to the GL assessment suite. It is an ideal introduction to these assessment tools, and will enable teachers to hit the ground running when they join a school already using them.

Week 1:

  • CAT4: What is it and how does it work?
  • What is the main data it provides and how can this be used?
