Council of British International Schools (COBIS)

Independent Schools Examinations Board (ISEB)

ISEB provides rigorous, high quality examinations and assessments for pupils seeking entry to independent senior schools at 11+ and 13+. The examinations, backed by the leading independent school associations, include the Common Pre-Tests, Common Entrance and Common Academic Scholarship examinations.

The 13+ Common Entrance examination is strongly supported by many of the top prep and independent senior schools in the UK. Its rigorous syllabuses and breadth of subjects provide a strong academic focus for pupils in Years 7 and 8 and an excellent preparation for GCSEs.

National Association for Special Educational Needs (nasen)

nasen is a charity organisation who have been operating since 1992.

They support thousands of practitioners, by providing relevant knowledge, training and resources required to enable staff to meet all pupils' needs. Working with dedicated education professionals, nasen aims to ensure that practice for special and additional needs is both effective and current.

National Association of Head Teachers (NAHT)

NAHT is an independent trade union and professional association representing over 28,500 members in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.  Members hold leadership positions in early years; primary; special and secondary schools; independent schools; sixth form and FE colleges; outdoor education centres; pupil referral units, social services establishments and other educational settings.

PiXL

PiXL (Partners in Excellence) is a not-for-profit partnership of over 1,600 secondary schools, 500 sixth forms, 600 primary schools and 75 providers of alternative education.

Founded by Sir John Rowling, PiXL emerged in 2005 from the school improvement programme, the London Challenge. When government funding for the initiative ceased, the 50 member schools at that time decided voluntarily to continue with its model of collaboration around leadership and shared resources. PiXL has since grown to become the largest network of schools in England and Wales.

Schools North East

Schools North East are the first and only school-led regional network in the UK.

In 2007, a group of Head Teachers came together to establish Schools North East. Their aim was to create a unique culture of collaboration and mutual support amongst North East schools to ensure the best possible outcomes for all of the region’s young people. Ten years on, Schools North East is stronger than ever.
