This popular session at the COBIS Annual Conference offered a review of recent and anticipated changes in UK education policy, a discussion of how a robust assessment structure can be implemented to suit this and then an explanation of how this can then be adapted to suit the international context.
Cassie discussed recent changes in the educational landscape such as the growth in Multi Academy Trusts and addressed changes in assessment policy including the introduction of Progress 8 and Attainment 8.
Lisa outlined the principles behind ATT’s approach to assessment systems across their primary and secondary academies.
Karen considered the tensions and problems that exist between UK policy and applying these to an international context. She described how ATT’s model has been adapted for an international context; how the model has been introduced and assessed the success of the exercise.
