Data for leadership: Lagos

Data for leadership: Lagos

Tuesday 06 November, 09:00 - 15:30

A focus on school improvement; teacher understanding and stakeholder engagement with GL Education and COBIS

This seminar is designed to support school leaders in the effective use of assessment data.

The presentations will be supported by practical exercises and guided hands-on analysis of your own school’s data to ensure that key learning points are reinforced. (Schools that are not yet testing with CAT4 can request a trial of CAT4 for one class or be supplied with sample data for the exercises).

The session will be led by our consultant for Africa, Veer Shah, who will draw on his own experience using these assessments in international schools to illustrate key points including:

  • Implementing cognitive abilities testing
  • Effective analysis of the data to identify the learning needs of individuals and groups of students
  • Using data to support accreditations and inspections
  • Stakeholder engagement

Linda Potticary, Principal at the British International School Lagos, will explain why her school chose the COBIS Patron’s Accreditation and how assessing the quality of learning in lessons is an integral part of accreditation processes.
