Erika Elkady, Head of Secondary, Jumeira Baccalaureate School
Jumeira Baccalaureate School took part in the initial trial of the Dubai Student Wellbeing Census and then participated in the full survey when it took place at the end of 2017. The survey was commissioned by Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority and covers all students in 4 grades (or years) in Dubai schools.
Seeking further insight into the results, they followed up using the Pupil Attitudes to Self and School survey to compare findings and to gain further insight down to individual student level.
Erika Elkady reveals some of the findings of the analysis and how they are addressing improving student engagement by providing the right balance between skills and challenges.
