Webinar - Introduction to the SEN Toolkit

Webinar - Introduction to the SEN Toolkit

Monday 26 October, 09:00 - 09:45

In this webinar Emma Dibden, Former Head of Learning Support at Jumeirah English Speaking School (Dubai), will introduce SENCOs and Learning Support Teams to the SEN toolkit.

Emma is passionate about achieving the highest outcomes for students with special educational needs and disabilities, and will explain which specific SEN assessments can be used in response to gaps in formative assessment data across four areas:

  • Dyslexia
  • Literacy
  • Numeracy
  • Mental Health and Wellbeing

The assessments included cover some of the most common and current areas of SEN. We are confident that this means whenever a teacher identifies a pupil with a difficulty, you will have the tools to carry out further investigation and help plan classroom interventions.

Who should attend?

  • SENCOS
  • Learning Support Staff

Why attend?

The award winning Special Educational Needs Assessment Toolkit (SENAT2020) provides schools with the basic tools they may require to identify the specific needs of a student, suggest appropriate interventions, and measure the outcome.

This webinar will introduce the assessments within the toolkit, highlighting how they can be utilised to potentially reduce the burden on SEN departments.
