Children's Mental Health & Psychological Wellbeing - Belonging

If pupils don’t feel like they ‘fit in’ at school, this can lead to an increased risk of poor behaviour, poor attendance, underachievement and bullying. A sense of “not belonging” may also lead to disaffection, disengagement from learning, depression and anxiety.

This book contains a number of straightforward questionnaires which you can use to assess the level to which your pupils feel they ‘belong’ in school, as well as suggested activities and approaches to make it easier for them to fit into the school environment, and have a more positive education experience.

This book contains seven questionnaires that help identify areas where a child may need additional support.
